Top 10 – 2014

Who really thought that a Lego movie could be brilliant. Well, it was and had a great ending. Who thought Tom Hardy in a car on the phone for a whole film could work. It did! Really original horror with the Babadook (also has a great original ending). The top 4 are really hard to split. The intense 12 Years a Slave from Steve McQueen is a film I need to watch again. Chris Nolan goes big and 2001 with Interstellar. Another intelligent, emotional, sci-fi epic from the best director working today. The Wolf of Wall Street was a rock n roll telling of the true story of Jordan Belfort. One of the funniest films I have seen. Ultimately Under the Skin won out for being one of the most original movies you will see. So strange and stuck with me for months.
