Synopsis

This movie is about two friends who aren’t exactly the nicest people in their school. In fact, Adrian is a bully, he treats everyone around him like trash. One day, he decides with the help of his friend, Sean, to break into their school and steal something that will allow them to cheat on his exam. However, as soon as he manages to get inside… someone else is in the building with him. Although, he manages to get what he came for, he struggles to escape the predator that is chasing him.

Director’s statement

This was project was my first attempt at making a professional short film. It was the first time working with a crew that I had sourced by myself. Many of them were friends I had met in school and that happened to be creative in their area. I could take advantage of those collaborations to try and make a short film.

This film for me is about bullying at school and what might happen when the bully faces a bigger foe. An action driven script filled with chase scenes. The message is that there are always consequences to your actions whether they be good or bad.

This is a fictional story created to give the audience the satisfaction of a revenge story that is successful on a bully. It is also made to think if it is right to have been thirsty for revenge? Forcing you to follow and empathise with a character that isn’t a hero, that isn’t the classic nice person, is I think is what made me want to do it.

Impact was shot over two weeks after work at school.
None.
First time managing a crew. I was particularly new to directing officially, so finding the right words to direct the actors the right way proved to be also a difficult challenge.
I managed to make my first short!
Approximately 9 people total. This includes 6 crew and 3 main actors.
I’m really proud of how it turned out. This was my first “proper” short film and I achieved a lot and especially learned a lot from my colleagues how to make a film from start to finish. It gave me a bigger picture of what is required to make a film.
